Privacy and cookies

This page describes what Zyrolin collects and what our advertising partners collect. It is written to be read rather than to be survived, and it is not legal advice.
What we collect ourselves
Very little. There is no account to create, no newsletter and no comment system. Our host records standard server logs, which include an IP address, the page requested and the browser making the request, and which are used to keep the site running and to spot abuse.
What advertising partners collect
This site is funded by display advertising served by Google. Google and its partners may set cookies or read device identifiers to measure ad performance and, where permitted, to personalise the ads you see. That processing is theirs rather than ours, and it is governed by their own policies.
You can review and change how Google personalises advertising for you at any time through your Google account settings, whether or not you have visited this site.
If you are in the United States
Several states, California among them, give residents the right to know what personal information is collected, to ask for it to be deleted, and to opt out of it being sold or shared. We do not sell personal information for money. Some advertising activity may still count as sharing under those laws.
Residents of those states are shown a notice offering the choice to limit that sharing. You can also exercise these rights directly by writing to us, and we will not treat you differently for doing so.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland
A consent notice appears before any non-essential cookie is set, and nothing beyond what the site needs to function is stored until you choose. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time, and the notice can be reopened from the same banner.
Your choices, wherever you are
- Browser settings can block or clear cookies for this site.
- Industry opt-out pages let you turn off personalised advertising across many networks at once.

Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

One honest note
This policy was written carefully but not by a lawyer. If you are reading it as a professional and something here is wrong or missing, tell us and it gets fixed.
